Mixed Media Painting Class with Katherine Baronet

This is a painting class for intermediate and advanced students. Students will learn how to develop and work from concepts including, text, imagery, and symbolism. Students will learn how to work with acrylic archival mediums, prepare for gallery exhibition and develop a visual dialogue. Students will leave with the understanding of layering, glazing, multi-dimensional collage, masking and pattern fields. The first day of class students will be working from poetry and text, it is recommended to bring a poem or text of some kind. Some supplies for the first day of class will be provided. Students should be prepared to begin working and bring your own supplies.

The annual Fur Ball for the SPCA was so much fun, and the bookoo moneys were raised for their much needed NEW facility here in Dallas! Thank you Mary Prothro Interior Design.

"Inspiration" In the NEWS

St. Thomas Aquinas students inspire local artist to auction painting for art education.

DALLAS — A group of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders inspired a local Dallas artist to sell her aptly-named painting, Inspiration, and give 60% of the proceeds back to the very kids who inspired her.

Katherine Baronet visited the art department at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School, painting while she spoke to each class.
